I'd totally get it if M colors weren't 100% inappropriate to put on my rustbucket shitbox.

Some kind of design and production/distribution partnership, maybe. We could brainstorm ideas for automotive vinyls (and maybe shirts?) together, I could help with the artwork and front part of the money for materials or print runs.

I do freelance logo design on the side, but have been looking for a way to get more into the automotive world. I've got some shirt ideas I've thought about sending to blipshift, and I think there might be an opportunity to partnership with Petrolicious and other somewhat niche sites to sell merchandise for them. There are plenty of sites with great material and a great following that don't have any way of selling branded stickers or shirts that might be interested in having another company do the legwork for them.

Here's my portfolio:

That's a great idea. I've been considering getting a shirt press, but I could use someone that already knows how to create in illustrator, and how to manage a website/webstore. I think there's definitely a market for quality automotive shirts. I've bought a few automotive shirts myself (including one from blipshift), and they never fit right IMO, or they are cheap shirts with thick collars, etc. I'd also like to get a vinyl printer in the near future so I can make more detailed decals that can't be done with a cutter.

Hit me up if you ever need Illustrator help; I've never done a commerce site before, but there's no time like the present to start, and we could always lean on PayPal at the beginning and figure it out as we go. My site was done using a Squarespace temple, and commerce is part of all of their packages. There's definitely a market for shirts like these, but a decent amount of competition, too. But a great idea and design, with enough exposure, will always sell.

Hi Dave, I'm glad you like my logo. Just so you know, that oppo logo in M colors was created by me, and E92M3 has been selling it without asking permission or giving me credit. When I found out I contacted him and he removed the sticker from his etsy store, for what it's worth. I don't know how many he's had the chance to sell without my knowledge. It's a real shame. I think collaborations are great, but be careful who you do business with.

It definitely would have been best to touch base with you before selling them, but the OPPO logo has historically been free game for anyone looking to sell anything with it on it. I get that you did the ///M color version, but he may not even have been aware of that. He was selling it at a price that probably just covered materials, postage and his time, so it's not like he was trying to make a profit; it's more like he was trying to do a service to OPPO BMW fans here. Just my two cents. Are you planning to sell these stickers?

Got the stickers - thanks again. Up to this point, I'd refrained from putting any stickers on the outside of my E90 M3 (have a few in the rear doorsills), but this one made it onto the rear window glass. My love of my ///M, and my love of OPPO, together at last.

Sorry to hear you and wbizarre had a disagreement about this. I get where he's coming from, but considering that you were pretty much doing these at cost, I just saw it as a nice service you were offering for BMW-loving Opponauts. Wish he would have seen it that way. Anyway, glad I got mine!

Glad you liked them. Yeah I wasn't trying to make money off them. Took an hour of my time to create the vector file to cut it. I can't just use his picture to make them, but I did trace it. Then factor the 3 rolls of vinyl that have to be loaded/unloaded, and having to assemble the colors and line them up perfectly to form 1 decal it was pretty labor intesive to sell only 3 of them. Anyway we have our own little OPPO ///M club limited edition stickers now I suppose. Looks better than the orange one I had before.

Exactly. I wish he could have seen that.

I do like the classic, original OPPO orange, but it is a bit loud on a car you're trying to keep as Q-ship as possible... I felt a bit bad hiding my OPPO pride on the door sill up until now, so thanks for helping me to correct that.
